Graham Darley - Chairman

Graham has  nearly fifty years of operational and executive experience in the telecommunications industry,

He spent 22 years with the Royal Australian Air Force reaching the rank of Group Captain, overseeing the RAAF’s ground and air communications worldwide.  He has held senior executive roles in the private sector including Group General Manager with AWA and  Chief Operations Officer with OTC.

He also has extensive experience at board level in telecoms companies including Airspan as well as subsidiaries of Singapore Telecom and Verizon.

 

Rosemary Sinclair - Non-Executive Director
Rosemary has significant expertise in the telecommunications and media sectors with very professional links with government and industry organisations including 15 years experience as a Non-Executive Director serving on SME company and government boards.

Rosemary is currently a part-time member of the Australian Communications and Media Authority and a founding Board member of the Telecommunications Universal Service Management Agency Board.

Rosemary held the position of Managing Director, Australian Telecommunications Users Group from 2001-2011, was Chair of the Federal Government Regional Telecommunications Inquiry Review Committee 2011-2013 and a Non Executive Director of Communications Alliance 2001-2007.
 
Rosemary holds degrees in Arts, Law and Business, and a Master’s Degree in Commerce. 
Bill Hope - Non-Executive - Director BSc (Hons)

Bill  brings to the company more than 35 years’ technical and commercial experience principally in the telecommunications industry, in Australia and overseas.

He devoted the last 25 years of his career to SingTel Optus and its precursor, Aussat before retiring from the position of Managing Director, Networks.

He held the position of  Chief Technical Officer for Optus before moving to Singapore’s largest carrier, SingTel, in 2000, he was a leading exponent of that company’s integration with Optus the following year.

He has published and presented numerous papers on telecoms engineering around the world.

 

Virginio Archetti - CEO, VASP Group - BE (Milan)

Group founder Virginio Archetti’s 35 years’ experience in telecoms engineering industry has given him one of the broadest and deepest views of the sector, encompassing an extensive body of work across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, South America and the US. His ability to establish sound and long standing business relationships, grow multiple organisations, and his passion and drive in the telecommunications sector has made him a well known industry leader.

Virginio’s has held positions with Alcatel Telettra, one of Italy’s major equipment manufacturer and R & D laboratories and managed operations and field engineering with NEC Australia. He has spent the last 20 years building VASP starting fron the founding of InstalComm Engineering.

Today, his primary responsibilities with VASP Group focus on the setting of strategic objectives for each area of the business, establishing and maintaining organisation wide direction and overseeing and monitoring all of VASP Groups activities.

 

Steven Percossi - Chief Operations Officer / Director - Dip Communications (UTS)

Effectively the Group’s officer in charge of delivery, Steven has been instrumental in establishing VASP Group. His 25-year career has taken in network rollout projects across some of the Asia Pacific region’s most difficult terrain – areas such as PNG, Cambodia and Brunei. 

Steve has extensive  knowledge of radio, optic fibre and satellite network design and construction, he is a recognised authority in the area of complex logistics and implementation in hostile environments. One of his major achievements in this respect has been the overseeing of PNG Telikom’s ten-year nationwide network upgrade. 
Prior to his role as a VASP Group director and COO, Steven’s career path included key roles at OTC Australia and NEC Australia.and as Operations Manager and Director with InstalComm Engineering.

 

Ariyakumar Ariyaratnam - Chief Financial Officer - Grad.Dip (Management Accounting), CMA, FCA (SL), CPA (PNG)

With more than 30 years’ experience in financial management and accounting – the last 20 in the telecoms industry and the last ten with VASP Group – Ariya was appointed to the position of CFO in July 2006.
Ariya’s primary area of responsibility is to ensure the translation of strategy into profitability through the Group’s business development and operational arms. As VASP Group sees record growth year on year, Ariya’s role continues to focus on building financial strength and ensuring delivery on various growth opportunities.
This extends into risk management, the assessment of expansion strategies and proactive financial cost control across the Group’s operations.

Dean Caletti - GM Construction and Maintenance - BE (Civil, UTS)
Dean has a 20 year career in the construction, power and telecommunication sectors throughout Australia, South East Asia and the UK.

His career started in construction where he attained a strong grounding in all facets of engineering. Between 1991 and 2000 Dean held the positions of Project Manager, Business Development Manager and General Manager with the Transfield Group

He is currently responsible for the sales and delivery of all construction and maintemance business for the VASP Group.
